New Course - The Diamond Sutra -
Begins May 26th at 4:00 pm
Michael's new course will begin in May (5/26).  The course will focus
on the Diamond Sutra.  The classes will be from 4:00 - 5:30 on eight
Sundays.   We will use the texts: The Diamond that
Cuts Through Illusion by Thich Nhat Hahn and Buddhist Wisdom: The
Diamond Sutra and the Heart Sutra by Edward Conze.  Please
plan to join us.  

Tuition for the eight week course is $100.00.  
 No one will be turned away for lack of  funds.

The week day sitting schedule is suspended for May. Sunday evenings are a really good gateway to our community.   You can just come and we will welcome you with practice, teachings, friends and good   conversations, and lots of food and fun. The Sunday program begins at 6:30 p.m.

Dragons Leap is one block off of Highway 1 (19th Ave).  You can also reach the temple by taking the L Taraval MUNI line to 20th Street and walking 3 blocks north to  Quintara;  48 or 66 buses which travel east/west along Quintara (you can  transfer at West Portal from the L to the 48 if you would like to avoid the  walk); 28/28L bus which runs north/south along 19th Avenue; or 6 bus  and get off at 14th Avenue and Quintara (the last  stop)

49 Fingers is a collection of 49 American Koans, written in traditional case, commentary, verse format alongside 22 of my original brush works. 

It is currently available at the San Francisco Zen Center's online bookstore. You can purchase it at their website by clicking here.

Mission Statement

Dragons Leap is a refuge for all beings. A small warm center offering Zazen, brush works, and Dharma study groups. It comes from the Buddhist tradition yet doesn't exclude anybody. It is a place where creativity and compassion are cultivated, where we deepen our inherent connection with each other and our intimacy with what is.

We are now accepting donations made out to Dragons Leap. We are a Federally recognized 6501(c)3 nonprofit and donation as tax deductible.
